Which U.S. Virgin Island should you visit?

Have you decided that you want to visit a U.S. Virgin Island, but aren’t sure which island? I can help you out! My favorite U.S. Virgin Island is St. John, closely followed by St. Croix, with St. Thomas in a distant third. But it totally depends what type of vacation you want to have! It is easy enough to travel between the islands, you could even mix and match! St. Thomas St. Thomas is the most developed in terms of tourism, with multiple cruise ships a day visiting. The island itself is lush and hilly with beautiful beaches. There is snorkeling but it pales in comparison to neighbors St. John…

    One Week in Anguilla Itinerary

Get inspired to visit Anguilla? The unspoiled beaches, white sandy, and ocean breeze can make anyone dash away to this Caribbean escape. I spent a week in Anguilla and felt it was the perfect amount of time to get to know this little hideaway. Here is my one week itinerary in Anguilla: Day 1: To get to Anguilla you will have to fly into St. Martin and ferry over to Anguilla. After you check in to your hotel, have a relaxing, little effort afternoon by the pool getting acquainted with the island. After a welcoming afternoon to the Caribbean sunshine, get changed for dinner. An easy and fancy dinner on…

    Anguilla: the Great Caribbean Escape

Anguilla has been featured as the #1 island in the Caribbean in Travel and Leisure for the past several years. So, what is the draw? Obviously, the island, like any of the Caribbean, is going to have pretty beaches, but there is much more under the surface. Escaping the tourism The saying is that Anguilla is where celebrities go to not be recognized and I can see why. The island is extremely quiet, boasting of 33 beautiful beaches with hardly a sole on them. There is no central town or walking district to go shopping. In fact, I never even found a souvenir shop to get a t -shirt because…

Why the Cayman Islands Should be Your Next Vacation

When I picture the Caribbean, I picture the Cayman Islands. My first inspiration to visit the Cayman Islands was my parents because they spent a year living on Grand Cayman when they were in their 20’s. They used to show me pictures of their time living in the Cayman’s and I knew I had to visit for myself. I must admit, I always dreamed of living in the Caribbean for a year just like my parents did, but they were able to make it work through both working in Public Accounting which unfortunately I do not. What they told me about the Cayman’s was snorkeling and diving every weekend, fishing,…

    Beaches of St. John

Without further ado here is a guide of my favorite beaches on St. John: Francis Bay – this is my favorite beach on the island! It’s secluded as it is far from Cruz Bay and more difficult to get to. The water is so calm it just laps at your ankles. The best part about the beach is the snorkeling. You will swim with large sea turtles and stingrays! If you go to the far right side there are huge schools of fish to snorkel with. I even saw and octopus! It is the best of both worlds as far as what you can see snorkeling and the secluded vibe…

    Travel St. John Guide

This is a complete guide to the logistics of planning a trip to St. John. Find out where to stay, how to get around, and more below. Geography As far as the island goes, 2/3rds is national park and there are two main towns: Coral Bay and Cruz Bay. Cruz Bay is much livelier although I recommend checking out Coral Bay for lunch one day. All the main beaches are on the North side of the island. Believe it or not there is only one round about, one gas station, 2 main roads, and no stoplights on this island. The two main roads are the road along the north side…
